The University System of Maryland (USM) and its institutions, the State of Maryland, the Federal Government, and other sources provide financial aid and scholarships that help reduce the total cost for you and your family.

The cost of college usually includes four things:

• Tuition
• Fees (for parking, use of athletic facilities, and other student services)
• Room & Board (if you intend to live and eat on campus)
• Textbooks & Other Course Materials

The total cost to attend college at one of our universities for one year—tuition, fees, room, board, and text books—ranges from $13,000 to $18,000 per year for in-state students.
